“Motorcycle-Ness”
If you’re passionate about motorbikes and would like to work together, please let me know. I look forward to collaborating with you.
I’m currently scheduling new builds for mid-summer and fall of 2020.
I don’t just build motorcycles. Building fine motorcycles is not about mechanics. It’s about knowing how to feel and see. Then figuring out how to make what you feel and see in your mind’s eye come to life. It’s also about believing in yourself. I don’t build motorcycles. I create and refine objects, then assemble them in such a way that they capture the very essence and spirit of what motorcycles represent. When I build a motorcycle, I’m more concerned with capturing the motorcycle-ness of motorcycles — their fundamental qualities, their ideal — rather than simply building a functional motorized vehicle.
For me, motorcycles symbolize all that’s right with the world. They radiate individuality, freedom, adventure, challenge, empowerment, escape, and creativity, and they make me feel alive. If I’m feeling anxious, I can simply look at a motorcycle and forget about my troubles and feel better. And if I’m building one, then the feeling multiplies. Motorcycles are my refuge. Building them is my sanctuary.
Getting started. A custom motorcycle build can take anywhere from a few weeks to hundreds of hours to build. If you have pictures, drawings & some ideas of what you are looking for it will help putting together a build list & determining the time & cost.
If you would like to collaborate with me to build a custom motorbike please inquire by phone or email on the contact page. If it’s a good fit and we decide to commit to the project it will require a $500 deposit to start work through the concept and design phase. This is non-refundable, as a good deal of time will be spent on the conceptual phase, but will be applied towards your build.
Two weeks prior to your “start to build” date we require a deposit based on your projected build cost. Half way through the creation process we require a 25% balance payment & the rest to be paid in full when your build is finished.
If you’re passionate about motorbikes and would like to work together on my next build, please let me know. I look forward to collaborating with you. - Charlie Giordano, ph. 774-563-8296
“What happens when a fine craftsmen with a keen eye for design goes to work is ably demonstrated below. Not Surprisingly, the Gunner bike was later found in Cycle World USA’s “Coolest Bikes 2015” award.

“It’s perhaps not the first time a decrepit and doomed 1968 Enfield Interceptor was given a stay of execution from the crusher, but it’s probably the first time it’s been done with so much style.
Builder Charlie Giordano’s day job is running Tailgunner Exhausts, maker of Gatling-gun rotating exhausts like you see fitted here. But he’s also a man obsessed with motorcycles and design. This shows in the finished product, which presents a clean overall profile and shape, plus details that kill, all inspired by England of yesteryear.”

“Whatever you do, don’t do it for the money. It will never work. Don’t do it for the money. Because if you do, it either won’t work because you lack the most important ingredient, passion, or it will change everything you did it for in the first place. If you start doing it for the money, the passion you began with will be replaced by numbers. And numbers don’t make you or the world a better place. The people around you will no longer be human beings. They’ll become dollars. Your customers will become objects who just want something from you. And you’ll stop creating art and culture, which if you’re going to be any good at this stuff, better be the reason you’re doing it in the first place.”
